BUCS VALENTINE’S DAY JERSEY AUCTION TO BENEFIT MDA
AUCTION HELD FEBRUARY 14TH: BUCS VS. SIOUX FALLS

The Des Moines Buccaneers are set to host the 4th Annual MDA Jersey Auction at their home game against the Sioux Falls Stampede on Friday, February 14th. MDA Ambassador Child Drew Finney will kick off festivities with an official puck drop at 7:35 p.m. The Bucs will wear special edition Valentine’s Day jerseys for the match-up, then will stay at center ice immediately following the game for a live jersey auction, complete with auctioneer from Greenfield Auction Service, to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Jerseys will be available for each player on the Bucs’ roster, in addition to one jersey to be autographed by the entire team. Fans with winning bids will meet their favorite player on the ice for a photo, then players will remove the jersey, autograph it, and hand it over to the fans as a keepsake. Previous year’s auctions have raised between $10,000 and $14,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

This is the final time that the Buccaneers, currently tied with Chicago for third place in the USHL’s East Division with a 17-19-5 record, will play Sioux Falls at home this season. (The Bucs travel to Sioux Falls for the last game of the regular season on March 29th). The Bucs are 2-2 against the Stampede this season. The Stampede, led offensively by Jacob Mikflikier (57 points) are 20-18-5, good for fifth place in the USHL’s West Division.
