BUCCANEERS ANNOUNCE ROSTER CHANGES

The Des Moines Buccaneers announced changes to the 2002-03 roster today.

Defenseman Steve Wagner (Grand Rapids, MI) and forward Ryan Dingle (Steamboat Springs, CO) were traded to Tri-City in exchange for three Storm players. The new Buccaneers include 6’6”, 210 lb. defenseman Thomas Morrow (Afton, MN), 6’3”, 197 lb forward Marty Mjelli (Faribault, MN), and 6’3”, 190 lb Pat Borgestad (St. Paul, MN). Morrow notched 4 points in 23 games for the Storm, Mjelli scored 11 points in 24 games, and Borgestad had 6 points in 25 games.

Former Des Moines defenseman Joe Campbell (Superior, WI), a member of the 2000-01 Buccaneers, has re-joined the team. The 6’4”, 205 lb Campbell had been attending the University of Wisconsin.

Buccaneer defenseman Jay Bletzer has left the team to return to his native Medfield, Massachusetts.
