Rory Farrell - Number 2 Position: Defense Rory, who is from Westfield, MA played for the Cleveland Barons Jr. A hockey team during the 2002-03 season. Rory first started playing at the age of 4 and since then has had several great hockey achievements, including US National Team Invite, Quebec Peewee International Champs, and a QMSML draft pick. Interview Kevin Kasel: Tell me about your family life, do you have any brothers or sisters? Rory Farrell: I have two sisters, one who is older and one who is younger. And then I have a brother, who is older. Kevin: How old were you when you started playing hockey? Rory: Like around 4. Kevin: Have you always been a defensemen? Rory: Pretty much, once people saw I had pretty good size. I learned to love it. Kevin: Tell me about the past teams you've played for. Rory: Last year I played for the Cleveland Barons of the North American League. Before that I played Junior Coyotes of the Eastern Junior League. Kevin: Do you have a favorite pro or college team? Rory: I think I'm a Boston Bruins fan at heart. Kevin: What about a favorite player? Rory: I like Chris Pronger and Rob Blake. Kevin: Best advice you've ever received (doesn't have to be hockey-related): Rory: You never know who is watching. Kevin: What are some things you want to do in your life besides hockey? Rory: Go to college and go from there. Kevin: My first job was ... Rory: I was pro shop attendant at a golf course. Kevin: What can't you imagine living without? Rory: I can't live without my CD player, I like music. Kevin: Who has been the biggest influence on your life? Rory: My parents have been. Kevin: Best decision I ever made? Rory: Starting to play hockey. Kevin: What would you consider your dream car? Rory: Probably an Escalade. Kevin: What is your favorite holiday? Rory: Christmas. Kevin: Finish this sentence. Rory: Probably playing in the Quebec Championship, for the Quebec World Championship. Kevin: If there is one thing you could change, what would it be? Rory: It'd be (West Des Moines) Valley High School was easier in giving parking passes.. Kevin: When you're not playing hockey, where are we most likely to find you (in season or off season)? Rory: In the weight room or on the golf course. Kevin: If you were stranded on a desert island, whom would you want to be stranded with ? Britney Spears, Halle Berry, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez or Tara Reid? Rory: If not all of them, Tara Reid. Kevin: What is your favorite food? Rory: Steak. Kevin: What is your favorite board game?
