Tom is from Eagan, MN and played for Eagan High School during the 2002-03 season. Tom has been playing hockey since he was 3. His favorite NHL team is the Minnesota Wild. The motto Tom lives by on the ice is, play every shift like it’s your last.

Kevin Kasel: Tell me about your family life, do you have any brothers or sisters?

Tom May: Yeah, I have a brother and a sister.

Kevin: Older, younger?

Tom: Both older. My brother is 20 and my sister is 22.

Kevin: How old were you when you started playing hockey?

Tom: Probably about three I think.

Kevin: Why did you start?

Tom: Both my brother played and my Dad always played, so just sort grew up into it.

Kevin: Have you always been a forward?

Tom: Yep.

Kevin: Tell me about the past teams you've played for.

Tom: I played for Eagan High School, back in Eagan, Minnesota - we were OK, nothing great though.

Tom: Go out and buy a new car probably.

Kevin: What is your favorite saying?

Tom: Saying? Playing every shift like it is your last.

Kevin: What are some things you want to do in your life besides hockey?

Tom: I have no clue.

Tom: No hidden talents.

Tom: Ice arena.

Kevin: Where did you go on your last vacation?

Tom: Up to Canada.

Kevin: In comparison to your hometown what do you like and dislike about Des Moines?

Tom: Dislike is there seems like there isn't much to do. Like is ... there is not really is ever any traffic around here. That's kinda nice.

Kevin: Who has been the biggest influence on your life?

Tom: Probably my Dad. He has always coached hockey teams. He has always been there for me when I needed some help with anything.

Kevin: What is your least favorite trait in a person?

Tom: Maybe being too cocky.

Kevin: What would you consider your dream car?

Tom: Ferrari.

Kevin: What's your most embarrassing moment?

Tom: I have to think about that one. When I missed on an empty net shot.

Kevin: What is your favorite holiday?

Tom: Christmas.

Tom: Maybe lazy.

Kevin: What is your favorite sports-related movie?

Tom: Slap Shot.

Kevin: If you were a head coach of a team what would you do?

Tom: Maybe get them a new logo. Something really cool.

Kevin: When you're not playing hockey, where are we most likely to find you (in season or off season)?

Tom: If I wasn't playing hockey, I probably playing lacrosse, in season. In the off-season, just hanging out with friends.

Kevin: Do you have a nickname?

Tom: May Bomb.

Kevin: If you were stranded on a desert island, whom would you want to be stranded with ... Britney Spears, Halle Berry, Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez or Tara Reid?

Tom: Britney Spears

Kevin: Where would you like to go to college?

Tom: Denver.

Kevin: It is a loaded question.

Kevin: Do you have a specific pre-game meal? If so, what is it?

Tom: I have like a spaghetti casarole type thing.

Kevin: What web page do you check first when you go on-line?

Tom: Our web page.

Kevin: Who would you rather be, Bugs Bunny or Road Runner?

Tom: Road Runner.

Kevin: What is your favorite non-hockey sport?

Tom: Lacrosse.

Kevin: If you started your own NHL franchise, and you could pick any player, who would you start with and why?

Tom: Probably, Bertuzzi, Todd Bertuzzi. Big power forward, get the offense going right away.

Kevin: Who would you have on your hockey "Dream Team"?

Tom: Gaborik, Marian Gaborik. Fedorov maybe, Sakic.

Kevin: Netminder?

Tom: Maybe Giguere.

Kevin: What are your superstitions?

Tom: I don't really have any.

Kevin: What is your favorite Des Moines radio station?

Tom: Don't listen to the radio.

Kevin: What do you miss most about home?

Tom: All my friends.

Kevin: Who would you rather be, Superman or Batman?

Tom: Superman.

Kevin: If you could change one aspect of your game, what would it be?

Tom: Be a little faster.

Kevin: Which one, new or old Buccaneer logo?

Tom: I'm gonna have to go with new.

Kevin: Burger King, McDonalds or Wendy's?

Tom: Burger King.

Kevin: What is the last movie you have seen?

Tom: The Matrix. The one that just came out.

Kevin: What is your favorite card game?

Tom: Shnarples.

Kevin: Outside of Des Moines, who has the best logo in the league?

Tom: I kind like St. Louis'.

Kevin: Any advice for younger hockey players?

Tom: Just keep working hard. And set a goal and try and get to it.
