Assistant Coach Regg Simon

The Buccaneers welcome Regg Simon as Assistant Coach/Recruiter. Regg, Buccaneer alum, joined the coaching staff this season. A native of Elk River, Minnesota he played in high school, where he led the team to three consecutive conference championships.

Regg then came to Des Moines to play for the Buccaneers for the 1994-1995 and 1995-1996 seasons. During the 1994-1995 season, Regg played under Coach Bob Ferguson and the team was the Triple Crown Champions (regular season, playoff and national champions). After playing for the Bucs, he attended college at University of Alaska, Anchorage where he played for four years. While playing in Alaska he was named to the WCHA All-Academic team three times.

After his playing career, Regg joined Tri-City as Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the 2002-2003 season. In December of 2002 he was named Interim Head Coach and General Manager of the Tri-City. Des Moines is pleased to welcome Regg back to Des Moines and to the Buccaneers.
