BUCS HOST 3RD ANNUAL “SOUPER BOWL” FOOD DRIVE

The Des Moines Buccaneers kick off Super Bowl weekend this year with their 3rd Annual “Souper Bowl” food drive to benefit the Food Bank of Iowa. The “Souper Bowl” will be held at Valley West Mall from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 23rd, outside the Upper Level Younkers Mall Entrance.

Fans can bring their non-perishable food donations to the “Souper Bowl”, where they can meet some of their favorite Buccaneers AND the Bucs’ official parrot mascot, Winger, for autographs and photos.

Any fan bringing 5 or more non-perishable food items (or a $5 donation) will receive a free gift from Younkers, Star 102.5 and the Buccaneers. All fans at the event may also register to win one of three great prizes: a $300 Valley West Mall gift certificate, a $100 Younkers Shoe Department gift certificate, and a team autographed Des Moines Buccaneers jersey.

Buccaneer fans donated 917 pounds of non-perishable food items in last year’s “Souper Bowl” food drive.
