RACE FOR PLAYOFFS CONTINUES;
FINAL 2 REGULAR SEASON HOME GAMES THIS WEEKEND
On FRIDAY, MARCH 21ST, the Des Moines Buccaneers host SIOUX CITY (20-26-5) at 7:35 p.m. for YELLOW BOOK NIGHT. Buccaneer season ticket holders are invited to attend a pre-game Season Ticket Renewal Bash in the Overtime Lounge with free food and beverages; fans that renew their tickets at the bash will be eligible to win prizes. Also at Fridays game, Buccaneer housing families will be honored with a special pre-game appreciation ceremony. Fans will be treated to an action-packed broomball game between periods, featuring two teams from the Des Moines Broomball League. After the game, fans can meet the Buccaneer team captains in Autograph Alley.
On SATURDAY, MARCH 22nd, the Bucs are at home again for their final regular season home game before the playoffs. Des Moines hosts league-leading LINCOLN (34-12-7) at 7:35 p.m. for Nextel Fan Appreciation Night with Lazer 103.3. The first 1,000 adult fans at the game will receive a six-pack Buccaneer cooler bag from Nextel. Fans will want to get to the arena early to catch the annual Player Awards Ceremony, where honors such as MVP and Fans Favorite Player will be presented. Intermission action sees the return of the Budweiser Human Puck, and all fans are invited to stay after the game for an on-ice Meet the Team autograph session

Tickets are on sale now and are available by stopping by the Metro Ice Sports Arena, 7201 Hickman Road in Urbandale, or calling 278-9757. Ticket prices are as follows: $11 for arena level adults, $8 for arena level kids (age 12 & under) and $13 for all ice level seating.
BUCCANEER NEWS AND NOTES
The Buccaneers are 23-23-5, good for 3rd place in the USHLs East Division
if the playoffs began today, the Buccaneers would hold playoff spot #7 of 8 spots
the Waterloo Black Hawks (35-15-3) have clinched the USHLs East Division title
Buccaneers Tomas Jasko (58 points) and Marty Guerin (48 points) are both ranked among the top scorers in the league; Jasko is ranked 4th and Guerin 12th
Des Moines is ranked 3rd in the league for power play goals scored
after home games on the 21st and 22nd, the Bucs must finish a 4 game road-trip before heading into the Clark Cup Playoffs.
