Bob Ferguson
Head Coach and General Manager
Bob is in his fifth season as a coach of the Des Moines Buccaneers and 14th overall season in the USHL. His record beginning with the 1994-95 Buccaneer season stands at 132 wins, 52 losses, and 8 ties. His USHL career record includes 365 wins, 219 losses, and 17 ties for regular season games.
Bob's teams have won three Anderson Cups, three Clark Cups, and have made seven National Championship appearances, claiming the Nation's Top Prize two times, once with the Sioux City Musketeers, and once with the Des Moines Buccaneers in 1992.
Bob has also been involved in USA Hockey's Select National Program for eight years. With USA Hockey, Bob's teams won a Silver Medal at the 1986 Sports Festival and a Gold Medal at the 1992 Junior Festival. In addition, this summer Bob directed the National 16 Team to an undefeated record against European competition. Bob's teams are noted for their disciplined play and intense work ethic.
Bob and wife Lisa have two children, Brett and Kaylee, and plan to make Des Moines home for some time despite Bob's goal to some day coach in Chicago with the Cubs!
