Joe joined the Buccaneers mid-season in a trade with the Chicago Steel of the USHL.

Kevin Kasel: Tell me about your family life, do you have any brothers or sisters?
Joe Piskula: Yeah, I have brother who is 14 and a sister who's 15.
Kevin: How old where you when you started playing hockey?
Joe: About 3 - 1/2.
Kevin: Why did you start?
Joe: I had some friends who were playing. Just started going and liked it. Just kept going.
Kevin: Have you always been a defensemen?
Joe: No, I was a forward until I was about a pee-wee.
Kevin: Tell me about the past teams you've played for.
Joe: I played for Antigo youth hockey until I was in high school. Then I played for Antigo High School. And my junior and senior year I played for Team Wisconsin, it was a before and after midget team. We won Nationals with that team. Then I came here.
Kevin: Do you have a favorite pro or college team?
Joe: Probably the Red Wings.
Kevin: What about a favorite player?
Joe: Chris Pronger.
Kevin: Do you have a nickname?
Joe: Just Joe.
Kevin: Where would you like to go to college?
Joe: Wisconsin. Play for the Badgers.
Kevin: Tell me about some of your goals for the future.
Joe: To get a D1 full (ride) scholarship and get a good education. Hopefully keep going in hockey as far as I can.

Joe: I eat a lot.

Joe: Landscaping.
Kevin: What would you being doing now if you weren't playing hockey?
Joe: Probably just going to school.
Kevin: What do you like to do besides hockey?
Joe: I played football, baseball and golf. Snowmobile, water-ski, hunt, fish.
Kevin: What can't you imagine living without?
Joe: Hockey.
Kevin: Who is your favorite non-hockey athlete?
Joe: Tiger Woods.
Kevin: What is your favorite non-hockey sport?
Joe: Probably football.
Kevin: If you could have lunch with one person, past or present, who would it be?
Joe: Gordie Howe.
Kevin: When you're not playing hockey, where are we most likely to find you (in season or off season)?
Joe: Off-season, at the lake. In-season, probably at the gym.
Kevin: What is your favorite food?
Joe: Mashed potatoes and gravy.
Kevin: Who is your favorite band?
Joe: Linkin Park.
Kevin: Who has been the biggest influence on your life?
Joe: My parents.
Kevin: If you started your own NHL franchise, and you could pick any player, who would you start with and why?
Joe: Maybe Chris Chelios, just because he big, solid defensemen. That's a good place to start.
Kevin: Who would you have on your hockey "Dream Team"?
Joe: Chelios, Pronger, Lemieux, Gretzky, Patrick Roy, Jagr.
Kevin: If you were stranded on a desert island, whom would you want to be stranded with ... Britney Spears, Cameron Diaz, Sarah Michelle Gellar or Tara Reid?
Joe: All of 'em.
Kevin: What is your favorite restaurant?
Joe: Fazolli's
Kevin: Does the whole team eat there or what?
Joe: No. I don't think so.
Kevin: Seems like everyone's pre-game meal is at Fazolli's.
Joe: Yeah. It's good pasta.
Kevin: Who would you rather be, Bugs Bunny or Road Runner?
Joe: Road Runner.

Kevin: Any advice for younger hockey players?
Joe: Just work hard.
