Tom Carroll - Head Coach and General Manager

The Des Moines Buccaneers are pleased to have Tom Carroll back for his second season as Head Coach and general manager. Tom came to Des Moines from South Bend, Indiana where he spent 14 years as the top Assistant Coach at the University of Notre Dame.

T.C. has also been a Head Coach for the USA Hockey Elite Development programs in Lake Placid, NY and St. Cloud, MN., and spent one year as the Head Coach of the Culver Military Academy.

Originally from Edina, Minnesota, Carroll brings a wealth of on-ice experience to Des Moines as well. He was a member of two State Championship teams at Edina East High School, then went on to play for the University of Wisconsin, where he added two NCAA Championships to his resume. Carroll graduated from Wisconsin with a Bachelors of Science degree and went on to earn his Masters of Science at the University of Notre Dame. Coach Carroll in the move to Des Moines are his wife Cindy and daughter Jessica.

Nick Krueger - Assistant Coach

Coach Krueger is entering his third season as the Buccaneers Assistant Coach. From 1991-94, nick was a key member of the Buccaneers for the Anderson Cup, Clark Cup and national Championship wins and was captain of the Anderson Cup Championship team.

After his career with the Bucs, Nick played Division 1 hockey for Ferris State and finished his college education at Iowa State University. Prior to joining the Buccaneers' coaching staff, he led the Des Moines Capitals High School Team. Nick and his wife Peggy are both natives of the Des Moines area.

Joe Huff - Athletic Trainer

The Buccaneers are pleased to welcome Joe Huff back for a second season as the team's Athletic Trainer. Originally from Marshalltown, Joe graduated from Iowa State University in 1998 where he worked for the hockey team for two years.

Upon graduation, he accepted the position of Athletic Trainer wiht the Macon Whoopee of the Central Hockey League. Joe and his wife Lisa reside in Des Moines with their cat, Georgia.
