Interview

Sarah: You were that mystery player on the roster that everybody always asked us about, so do you want to explain what kind of went on there?

David: Well, I signed a tender to play with the team after my season was done and it got kind of long. My high school season went all the way through the beginning of March. We went to the state tournament so it was as long as we could go. I couldn’t come down for the first couple weeks. When I had the chance, I came down when the season was done.

Sarah: At what age did you start playing hockey?

David: When I was about two years old, I started skating. My dad was a pee wee coach so I would always be with the teams and around older players. I always looked up to them. We always had a lot of open ice and it doesn’t cost anything to skate, so you could have as much free ice as you would want. We did a lot of playing hockey and won a state championship from it.

Sarah: What are your hobbies?

David: I play golf, fish, and hunt. I hunt a lot in the fall and fish in the summer and winter. I go ice fishing. I don’t have a lot of free time besides that.

Sarah: What do you think about being a Buc?

David: It’s exciting!

Sarah: Do you enjoy it?

David: It is a nice place to play. It is great!

Sarah: Are you looking forward to next year?

David: I am.

Sarah: You’ve had a very successful season with us so far. There have been a lot of people talking about you, wondering who you are. Is there anything you would like to tell the fans?

David: Keep up the good work.

Sarah: Any embarrassing stories to tell me?

David: I am not embarrassed very often.

Sarah: Okay.
