Three Des Moines Natives to Suit Up For Buccaneers

Johnston native Chad Costello, a forward who played last season with Team Illinois, is on the Des Moines Buccaneers 23 man roster, and will see ice time in this weekend’s Buc Bowl. In addition to Costello, local high school players Brad Krueger and Roch Naert are currently participating in the pre-season with the Bucs and should see action in the Buc Bowl Tournament. Both Krueger and Naert are members of the Des Moines Capitals.

The Buc Bowl, junior hockey’s premier tournament for scouting and evaluation, begins Thursday at 1:00pm and goes through Sunday. The Buccaneers play Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7:35 pm each night, and again on Sunday at 3:00 pm. Tickets are available at local Hy-Vee stores for $4 and $7 at the box office.
