Bucs vs Omaha Lancers
Saturday, February 1, 1997

Pre-Game
There would be no Tortorella playing in Saturday night's game. Though the crowd still cheered (rather jeered) for him. I almost wondered if the crowd realized he wasn't playing? I have to give a big applause to the new efforts of our loyal fans. When the Lancers' starting lineup was introduced they sat with newspapers in front of their faces.

First
With 16:25 left in the first period Nate Mauer blasted one in from the point giving the Lancers the first goal (unassisted). I have to say from the beginning it was no contest, the Lancers would win. Omaha scored their second goal at 10:22 from Matt Murray. An agony swept through us as we watched them. The Lancers were attacking swiftly and the Bucs looked dead. With 5:53 left Matt Libby scored on a power play. This new technique of shooting it as soon as we get it on the power play has some validity. When Erik Cole was slashed at the 3:33 mark nothing was done about it. This was just the beginning of a terrible night. Omaha out shot us in the period 15-10.

Second
With a whole 17:11 seconds left in the second period Mike Lephart scored (unassisted). Ten seconds later Scott Matzka scored (unassisted). Omaha was ahead 4-1 and it was getting ugly. I think we should give Erik Strand an award for scoring a goal from the stands! When the Bucs scored 6:33 into the period they gave the goal to Strand. I believe it was actually gotten in by Pete Fregoe (assist to Erik Cole and Matt Libby). The television news even said that Strand had gotten a goal! The puck bounced over Clem at 11:07 and Jami Yoder scored the Omaha goal (assist to Glen Coupal). And to think, if anything happened to Clem? Jayme Platt was sick with the flu! Luke Duplessis was having fun knocking the net off and when he did it, at the end of a rush at 8:55, he was called for delay of game. There was a lot of emotion in the game, but it was a messy, dirty game.

Third
With 14:45 left Glen Coupal and Chris Antzoulatos were both fighting. Neil Breen was in there too, but was pulled away. The funny thing was a few minutes earlier I had seen a look on Antzoulatos' face, he looked ready for a fight. I knew any minute he would go. At 12:12 Cole was taken out of the game. This was all bosh! Duplessis had taken a dive! Needless to say Cole was taken out of the game and given a five minute major. The game was getting choppy and crude. At 11:27 Adrian Fure got in a tizzy with Jeff Edwards. As Adrian was escorted to the box Edwards was left behind. Edwards slashed at the back of Bob Haglund's skates and then was escorted to the box. I really hoped that after all this the ref had an escort out of town! He was going to get a lynch mob after him if he kept it up. When Omaha called a time out I wondered if Omaha was scared? What would they be scared of? Bobby Haglund scored 14:48 into the period (assist Mike Hanson). We were suddenly fired up and the Bucs scored again at 15:53 with Jake Searles (assist to Tom Puorro). The crowd literally went crazy. There were a few fights in the stands and Omaha fans were obnoxious, but then so were several Buc fans. After this last goal our passing improved. It was hard to say that anything could improve in this game! We were close to getting our fifth and tying goal. I really thought we would, until we were called for a bench penalty for too many men on the ice. With 1:07 left we took our time out. Scott was pulled and the Lancers were still on the power play. With 23.5 seconds left Omaha scored the last goal from Yoder on an empty net (assist to Matzka and Lephart). With only seconds left fights erupted on the ice between several of the players. Fure, Puorro, Duplessis, and Lephart were all escorted off the ice. Well, my final comment on this game was a terrible one. I could issue forth with a string of choice words, however it wouldn't give the full effect. You just had to be there to see what I mean, it had to be experienced. Let me tell you, it's a terrible experience. The Bucs played terrible! It was possibly the worst game of the season! Written by Sarah Bendy.

Sarah's Picks
Player of the Game: Bob Haglund
Best Actor: Luke Duplessis

And special awards go to Mike Lephart for being the Grungiest Player. He wins a free coupon for a shave and haircut. Also to Tom Kowal for being an Ice Eater. He was on the ice so much that he deserves a free coupon for skating lessons. Congratulation's guys!!

Bucs vs Rochester Mustangs
Saturday, February 8, 1997

Pre Game
Some quick facts... Erik Cole, Garrett Stafford, and Mark Krueger were all sitting out... Rochester had beaten Omaha the night before in Rochester... Rochester had one of the all-star goalies, Dean Weasler with a .904 save percentage... Rochester has a win loss record of 21-15-3... Jeff Turner of Rochester is third in the USHL for scoring with 21 goals and 38 assists... Jayme Platt, who would be starting, is still second in the league in goal tending with 9 wins and 2 losses.

First
At 15:09 of the first period Bob Haglund went for boarding, he hit Turner square between the penalty boxes. It was a cheap hit and he was given a five minute major and a game ejection. Rochester was on a five minute power play. At 12:54 Chad Theuer nullified it when he went for delay of game. So far the Buccaneers were giving a great effort and there was 12:31 left in the period. We had to win, that was all there was to it. Christian von Trzcinski got his first goal as a Buccaneer at 8:19 when he smacked it in from the blue line (assist to Chris Antzoulatos and Alex Kim). You could hear that slap shot all through the arena. Rochester's Mike Stuart was given an elbowing penalty with 4:04 left. Jake Searles deflected a goal in (at 2:47) on this power play (assist to Mike Hanson). Hanson was called for interference thirty seconds later.

Second
Around the fifteen minute mark Rochester almost scored on their own net. Wouldn't that have been nice? The clock still had 13:43 left on it for the second period and Antzoulatos had just made one of the best plays since he's been sick. He brought the puck in, stopped, waited, and passed it on. The puck was passed back to him and was right in front of the Rochester goalie. Unfortunately it didn't go in. I guess some of the prettiest plays never do though, eh? Rochester scored their first goal with 8:18 left. Sorry, but I didn't catch who got it. I believe it was either Carl Boben or Aaron Coleman (and one of the assists goes to Turner, but I don't know which Turner). The second period had slowed down a bit compared to the first period. The Bucs weren't fighting quite as hard. Alex Kim got the Bucs third goal 17:44 into the period (assist to Jason Furness and Dave Boehm). Not quite a minute later Rochester scored their second goal when it bounced over Platt. This goal was from Chris Locker (assist to Brett Kallias and Chad Theuer).

Third
Alex Kim
got the fourth goal 4:25 into the third (unassisted). The first Kim goal was originally unassisted (as explained over the loudspeaker), but this wasn't true, and I don't believe this last Kim goal was unassisted either. Sure looked like Antzoulatos had a piece of it. We were back in the third, sometimes it looked like it was a power play in our favor. We were in the zone attacking and with little mercy. 12:04 into the period Rochester scored with Carl Boben (assist to John Peterman and Ryan Wetterberg). Rochester took a time out with 7:49 left in the period. Just a few seconds later a mistake in the Rochester defense caused Derek Robertson to have a breakaway. He skated in with a few Bucs behind him, unfortunately he didn't score. A minute and fifty-eight seconds left and an icing on us was called much to major criticism, ahh the life of a ref. With 31.3 seconds left the clock was stopped after the whistle was blown. The face-off was in our zone and the Rochester goalie was pulled. We were leading 4-3. The crowd was loud and almost hyper. With half a minute left we would finally have a win. When the clock did run out not only were the fans happy, but so was the team. Written by Sarah Bendy.

Player of the Game
: Apologies to Alex Kim who had a three point game, but I'm giving Bill Trainor the player of the game. Why, you ask? Because he worked so hard. Plain and simple.

Dud Player: I want people to know that when I say dud player it means no disrespect to the player himself. This will go to anyone I feel should make some improvement. I'm giving it to Bob Haglund for the hit he put on Turner in the first period. For that he was taken out of the rest of the game.

Bucs at Twin Cities Vulcans
Sunday, February 9, 1997

Pre Game
Quick facts... Came off a big victory the night before... We need to win from here on out... Chris Antzoulatos is perhaps finally back from his mono... There was a good crowd on hand in the Twin Cities, 200 people... The Bucs have not lost to Twin Cities in 18 games... Most of the kids on the Vulcan squad are from the local area and it's built on that... Clemmensen would be in goal, Boston College's most recent recruit.

First
Erik Cole was starting with Hanson and Trainor again after having missed the night before on a game misconduct. About a fourth of the way through the first period Jason Furness was called for holding. Have no fear, our penalty kill is 87.4%! We're one of the best in the league. 11:15 into the first period Twin Cities scored the first goal from Mike Possin (assist to Ryan Dolder and T.J. Guidarelli). The Bucs didn't make sure the net was cleared when Possin scored. The Vulcans were playing well and were playing strongly. Christian Graham of the Vulcans went for boarding near the end of the period giving the Bucs there second power play. However the power play was nullified when Cole took a high sticking penalty not far into it. Erik had to take this penalty to stop the rush when Adrian Fure had to go back to retrieve his stick. With 52 seconds left in the first period Cole was out of the box and the Bucs had successfully killed the penalty. The saves for both teams were pretty even, with Clemmensen saving 9 and Kelzenberg 10.

Second
So we were behind by one point, but with the second period we brought more intensity. Also Kelzenberg was not having an extremely great game. On the season he had a 6.86 goals against average. The Bucs were getting aggressive, but not aggressive enough. Doug Schueller and Antzoulatos both got thrown into the box for roughing minors, however Schueller got the double minor. We just weren't have the best opportunities, we needed to score and take a hold of the game. With 11:37 to go Erik Cole tied the game (assist to Hanson and Sean Austin). With 6:02 left Nick Stephens took a hooking penalty and the NHL style line of Haglund, Trainor, Hanson, Fregoe, and Fure was out. Fregoe gave the puck to Trainor and from the top of the circle he scored on the power play (assist to Hanson and Fregoe). We were ahead 2-1 on Bill's 18th goal of the season. With 1.8 seconds left Clemmensen was pulled. The captain of the Vulcan's had sent the shot down the length of the ice and icing was called, which forced the face off in the attack zone. Since there was no way that the T.C. squad could score we went with the extra attacker. Sorry, all this build up for you guys and nothing happened!

Third
By the beginning of the third period both Omaha and Lincoln had won their Sunday games... we had to win! Ryan Dolder scored on a the Haglund penalty 26 seconds into the period, giving them their second point. At 17:59, Jared Anderson and Christian Laden both went for coincidental roughing's. Anderson had cross checked Laden and then both went for roughing and only roughing??? Jake Searles scored around the thirteen minute mark, the fans went wild for the Minnesota native (assist to Hanson and Austin). 10:59 and the face-off was in the Buc zone. The Vulcan's scored when the Bucs failed to clear out the puck (10:32 left) with Dolder's second of the night (assist to Possin and Mike Pudlick). With eight minutes left Kelzenberg was suddenly coming up big and performing like he had not in the earlier period. With under five minutes to go the game was tied... it was a nail bitter.

OT
It was the normal five minute over time period and if nothing happened after that? Of course the dreaded shoot out would then begin. We had not won a single shoot out since the beginning of the season. With the Vulcan's holding on tightly we went into the final minute. As the seconds ticked away we headed into our fourth shoot out.

Shoot Out
Des Moines shot first and as Jake Searles attacked his former team he missed wide. Chris Paradise was first for the vulcans and he also missed. Bill Trainor shot second for the shoot out, the only player on the Bucs to have a goal in the shoot outs, he scored. T.J. Guidarelli shot next and Clemmensen saved it. Erik Cole was the third player for the Buccaneers and he hit the post. Ryan Dolder shot third for the Vulcan's and with his wrist shot didn't get the goal. Derek Robertson, the fourth shooter, went for the five hole and was stopped by Kelzenberg. Nate Anderson was stumped by Clemmensen. Bob Haglund the fifth shooter went to the forehand and missed. Mike Possin was the last shooter for the Vulcan's, if he missed or was stopped we won, if he made the goal we shot over again (first team to score winning). Clemmensen saved Possin's shot! We won our first shoot out and got the extra point from it. We had now beaten the Vulcan's nineteen games in a row. Written by Sarah Bendy.

Des Moines 4 - Vulcan's 3 (Des Moines picking up the extra bonus point)

Sarah's Picks
Player of the Game
: Scott Clemmensen, for his outstanding effort in the shoot out.
Honorable mention: Bill Trainor, for being the only player who can score in shoot outs.

Bucs vs Dubuque Fighting Saints
Saturday, February 15, 1997

Pre Game
Don't have much this time for a pre game, just to comment on how terrible the weather was. I guess when you live a good twenty some miles out and you get ice and snow it gets treacherous.

First
The beginning of the game was a little chippy. At 13:19 Erik Cole was taken down by Erik Hanson, Hanson went for interference. Jayme Platt was in goal, but before the eleven minute mark he was slashing some of the Dubuque players who'd crashed into him. Josh Blackburn did his share also, he was called for a delay of game after he sent the puck flying over the boards. There were plenty of chances for the Bucs, but even though the goalie would be down and all the players in a huddle around the net, nothing ever went in. We were always down in the attack zone, but there wasn't a lot of emotion. How could I complain about that when I myself was dead on my feet? First period saves... Blackburn, 10... Platt, 5.

Second
That vice known as Pepsi failed to help me Saturday night... maybe I should have tried Surge... They had to clean the blood off the ice that had come from David Brien at 18:02. It took a long time to clean it all off and take Brien to the Bucs locker room to patch him up - it looked like a cut to his hand. The Bucs got their first goal at 9:01 of the second from Sean Austin (assist to Pete Fregoe and Derek Robertson). The efforts of Pete and Derek brought about that goal. After bringing it in they passed it on to Austin, who moved in front of the net and scored on a slap shot. After this the play was fierce and we had emotion for the first time in a long time. Josh Kern went for interference with 4:26 left in the period. There were still 19 seconds left on the penalty to Christian von Trczinski (interference). 16:13 into the period Bob Haglund scored (assist to Adrian Fure and Matt Libby). Libby started that play with a slap shot from the blue line. With 2:03 left we were playing even better after the two goals. With 1:05 left Cole scored on a fluke goal that hopped over the shoulder of Blackburn, glove side (assist to Bill Trainor and Adrian Fure). A fight broke out with no time remaining on the clock, Mike Hanson and a Dubuque player were handed coincidental's. Second period saves... Blackburn, 13... Platt, 8.

Third
Sean Austin
scored the Bucs fourth goal 15:56 into the third period (assist to Haglund and Platt). It seemed that maybe the Bucs were finally back from their long sleep. However when Dubuque scored their first goal at 12:11 things fell apart just a little bit. Jed Holtzman got that goal (assist to Dan Stepanek). Alex Kim scored at 8:53 giving us a four goal lead (assist to Chris Antzoulatos and Cole). Fourteen minutes even into the third Dubuque's Dan Stepanek cut the lead when he scored (assist to Phil Lewandowski and Matt Doman). Slowly our lead started deteriorating and we weren't playing as well. Dubuque scored again with 3:47 left with Adam Egerdahl (assist Dan Stepanek and Ken Marsch). The Bucs scored with 3:00 minutes left getting their sixth goal. Pete Fregoe had the puck in front of the net and waited for the goalie to go down. He did and Fregoe puckered the twine. (assists to Jake Searles and Derek Robertson). The Bucs kept this lead until the end. Third period saves... Blackburn, 9... Platt, 8. Total saves for the games... Blackburn, 32... Platt, 21. Written by Sarah Bendy.

Bucs vs Sioux City Musketeers
Friday, February 21, 1997

Pre Game
Quick facts... Omaha had won a Wednesday night game and had now jumped ahead of us in the Anderson Cup race... Omaha was playing Waterloo on Friday night, Lincoln was playing Green Bay... Clemmensen was in goal... We needed a win... We had a record of 31-9-3 going into the game.

First
In the first period Sioux City scored first at 13:40. With Clemmensen completely off guard Shane Kalbrener scored (assist to #20? and #24?). Christian von Trzcinski lost his helmet at 10:48, and as he was trying to get off the ice he was called for illegal equipment. He hadn't even touched the puck! I normally try and understand why a ref does what he does, I try and cut them some slack, but there's absolutely no explaining some refs! Alex Kim scored with 6:56 left in the period (assist to Garrett Stafford and Derek Robertson), it was one of the few good shots of the game. It was a power play goal too, with Shane Spears in for roughing. Cole Gendreau went for boarding with 6:31 left giving us another power play. Sioux City got yet another penalty with 1:16 left when Randy Enders was called for tripping. There wasn't much to say for that period, at least for the most part we were able to keep the puck in the attack zone. Saves of the period... Briere, 13... Clemmensen, 8.

Second
Omaha was leading 6-0 at the end of the first period, we had to win. It's normal to see Jake Searles running around with his mouthguard hanging out of his mouth, this time he was playing with at the same time that it was hanging out. Dave Boehm, who was doing a great job half way through the period, almost got a goal. With 6:52 left and after all the pressure the Bucs were putting on the net they scored with Adrian Fure (assist to Derek Robertson and Jake Searles). But with 3:11 left Sioux City, with a mess around the net, scored with Ryan Rentz (assist to Cole Gendreau and Chris Bodnar). Clemmensen lost his stick before the 2:21 mark and finally Furny (Jason Furness) helped him out by giving him a stick. I love to see the players protecting other players! Alex Kim protected Bob Haglund (not that he needs protecting) with 1:31 left, after he was taken down. Kim and Mike Boylan both were given coincidental's. With a minute and twelve seconds left Clem was down and Sioux City scored again. Chris Bodnar had scored (assist to Rentz and Shane Spears). Saves of the period... Briere, 16... Clemmensen, 11.

Third
The Muskies were only ahead of us by one point, this wasn't a bad margin. Then at 18:25 Terry Harris scored (assist to Joe Gray and Shane Kalbrener). With our confidence shattered we were playing poorly and the puck wouldn't go into the net. So, tell me, when the defense fails, then what happens? With ten minutes left to go, would we get any more goals? Sean Austin was in the penalty box with 59 seconds left on his hooking penalty and Jeff Carlson scored (assist to Rentz and #24, sorry, didn't catch his name!). Yes, yes, yes, I hate writing for these games! The Bucs did score once more with 1:31 left from Haglund (assist to Fure and Austin). 1:24 left and Clem was pulled. We were struggling to keep the puck out of the net, and with 28.6 seconds left Rentz scored on the empty net (assist to Spears). Clemmensen was then put back in the net, and the game was over with a score of 6-3, not in our favor. Saves of the period... Briere, 7 = total of three periods - 30... Clemmensen, 8 = total of three periods - 27. Written by Sarah Bendy.

Bucs at Sioux City Musketeers
Saturday, February 22, 1997

Pre Game
We could not lose... 5 1/2 months of Des Moines being on top of the league, and all of a sudden we were behind Omaha, a wake up call perhaps?... We would be breaking up lines this Saturday night, because the current ones had not been scoring.

First
Kreuger was playing a lot Saturday night, hopefully he'll get his first goal tonight. There were plenty of Des Moines fans up in Sioux City, because a bus load of fans had traveled up. Steve Briere was coming up big in every way, even out of position he stopped the puck. The Bucs wouldn't stop the pressure though. In five minutes the Bucs had put twelve shots on Briere. Briere was saving all of them. It was one of the loudest and biggest crowds ever in the S.C. arena. There had been hockey tournaments going on and so there was a bigger showing with them in town. Of course we must not forget the bus of Des Moines fans that had come up! With 9:50 to go Christian Laden and Joe Gray tied up giving us the first penalty of the game, coincidental roughing's.

The pressure never stopped, but Briere saved them all. We were "unofficially" up to 22 saves. Half over and we still had no goal yet. Briere finally gave way with 5:27 to go. 18 seconds into a S.C. penalty Robertson scored (assist to Libby and Austin). It took about 30 shots on net to get one in! But the hole was started, now for the acid to make it bigger. Tom Puorro got his first goal as a Buc with under four minutes to go (assist to Mark Krueger and Jason Furness). Congrats to Kreuger who got his first point! Saves of the period... Briere, (officially) 24, (unofficially) 37... Platt, 8. Jayme had probably pulled up a rockin' chair!

Second
In the second Cole scored on a breakaway 25 seconds into the period, Searles started it. Tommy Puorro scored his second goal not long after this (assist to Chris Antzoulatos and Sean Austin). S. C. put the puck in the net than with a high stick. Such a blatant high stick to put the puck in however is not going to be allowed, it was waived off, much to the disappointment of the fans. We put less shots on goal and we had more penalties in this period. Antonio went for cross checking, Furness and Boylan were rouging it up behind the net, and Hopps was called for boarding. On the Hopps penalty, Pete Fregoe scored from another great play by Searles. Terry Harris scored for S.C. on a rebound with 5:54 left. With 2:31 left S.C. was picking up momentum.

Third
We had been in a "funk" (to borrow a term from Austin) for over a month, we started playing again tonight. Boehm and Nate Cockerham got in a fight about four minutes into the period. Boehmer worked him over and in my opinion won! Kim Joined in with Justin Bauer. Kim trying the old trick of getting the jersey over his head. Kim was given a minor and a ten minute misconduct. Searles also had a roughing penalty. And would you believe this; they only gave Boehm two minutes for roughing!!! After all this mess, S.C. had a powerplay with Searles in the box.

Robertson on a break scored, but Cole had taken a penalty to give Derek that break and the goal was waived off. On the Cole penalty Jeff Carlson scored S.C's second goal. The Musketeers had something left in them and started showing it. Sioux City took advantage of a second power play when Chris Bodnar scored a third goal for the Muskies. Another couple of fights broke out with Fure, Gray, Harris, Furness, and Randy Enders. After all the fights that erupted through the night only one was actually called as a fight!! Furny and Enders were the only pair ejected for fighting. When Boylan tripped up Fregoe and got called for it we were on the power play. Sean Austin scored on this power play (with an assist to Matt Libby and, I believe, Chris Antzoulatos). At 10:25 on a turn over Mike Boylan scored and S.C. got their fourth goal. With 8:29 to go the momentum had switched over to S.C. However the Muskies got a penalty as one of the players slashed at Platt, and then chopped Fure with a high stick. He was caught for the high sticking. When Terry Harris was called for slashing Libby with 3:20 to go, we were on a 5 on 3. Dave Boehm scored the Bucs seventh goal and scored a long needed goal. There was about 2 1/2 to go and we had a lead that the Muskies would never be able to catch. Erik Cole scored the final goal of the game (assist to Jake Searles and Christian von Trzcinski). It was our 33rd win on the season. Written by Sarah Bendy.

Des Moines 8 - Sioux City 4

Mark Krueger: for his first point of the season.

Bucs vs Lincoln Stars
Friday, February 28, 1997

Pre Game
We had not beaten the Stars all season... There were 3-4 bus loads of Lincoln fans that had come up, invading our barn!

First
The crowd was very loud Friday night. They rose to the challenge of the invasion of Lincoln fans. The interference penalties of the first period were unbelievable! Furness, Louis Mass, Toby Schnieder, etc... At 11:12 Chad Mazurak took down Erik Cole by the face mask. Derek Robertson scored on the power play at 10:20 (assist to Tom Puorro). We were finally playing Lincoln, but they still looked deadly. Adrian Fure was called for interference with 6:59 left when Benny fell. Ahh, the love of former team mates as Hanson slashed at Ryan as he skated by! When Lincoln scored at 4:37 with Jay Shaw (assist to Shane Spears) you should have seen those Lincoln fans! Cheering and jumping up and down, oh, and the silly string! We were losing our edge. Saves for the period... Braun, 10... Clemmensen, 10.

Second
Chad Kline
scored 1:08 into the period. Now all the play was in the wrong zone and the play was all under the thumb of Lincoln. The Stars scored again at 15:40 on the power play with Josh Langfeld (assist to Chad Kline and Derek Reynolds). I really didn't look forward to losing again! In the first we had played well, in the second we began to fall apart. Cole tried scoring on a breakaway and after he shot wide was taken down by Mazurak. Mazurak was given a slashing penalty and we had a 5 on 3 power play with Ryan Bencurik also in the penalty box. Earlier he had been given a high sticking penalty. Jason Braun tried to slow us down with a glove save at 5:30, it wouldn't help them. Alex Kim scored at 5:21 on a clean one - timer (assist to Cole and Sean Austin). Again at 3:29 on another powerplay Robertson scored at a scramble at the net (assist to Yvon Hopps and Bill Tainor). We had tied the game! Erik Cole had been taken down all too often and with 1:20 left was taken down again. Then with a minute left in the period Jay Shaw scored and Lincoln was ahead of us again (assist to Bryan Lundbohm). Saves of the period... Braun, 13... Clemmensen, 15.

Third
At the end of the second period a penalty was called on Robertson. 26 seconds into the third Lincoln scored on the power play, Josh Langfeld. The crowd was subdued, the Lincoln fans got obnoxious, and I had a headache! At 10:23 Cole and Nick Fohr went for roughing. Everything was getting monotonous. If we could only keep mucking away we might be able to score. The Bucs scored at 8:22 and Robertson scored himself a hat trick (assist to Boehm and Kim). Less than a minute later Benny (Bencurik) scored on a one timer. Now could we score two goals in six minutes? With 1:06 left Clem was pulled. Then with 49.1 seconds left Puorro and Mazurak were fighting they were given four minutes for roughing. Saves for the period... Braun, 10 = total, 33... Clemmensen, 12 = total, 37. Written by Sarah Bendy.
