Chad Costello - Number 26 Position: Forward Chad is from Johnston, Iowa so he will be right at home playing with the Bucs. He started playing hockey when he was 3 and played for Team Illinois during the 2002-03 season. The motto Chad lives by on the ice is, go hard or don’t go at all. His favorite NHL team is the Colorado Avalanche. Interview Kevin Kasel: Tell me about your family life, do you have any brothers or sisters? Chad Costello: Yeah, I have a brother, his name is Jordan and I have two sisters, McKenzie and Shelly. Kevin: Older? Younger? Chad: They are all younger. Kevin: How old were you when you started playing hockey? Chad: Probably around 3. Kevin: Why did you decide to play for the Bucs? Chad: It's my hometown, so you can't get any better then that. Kevin: Have you always been a forward? Chad: Yeah. Always. Kevin: Tell me about the past teams you've played for. Chad: I played in Des Moines my whole life until my Junior year of High School. I went to Illinois, I played on Team Illinois. I kinda developed my skills, just like to come back here and play for the Bucs. Kevin: If I won the lottery, the first thing I'd do is ... Chad: Buy a new car. Kevin: Do you have a favorite pro or college team? Chad: I like the Avalanche a lot. Kevin: What about a favorite player? Chad: Probably (Paul) Kariya or Joe Sakic. Kevin: Best advice you've ever received (doesn't have to be hockey-related): Chad: Whatever it is, try your hardest and never except failure. Kevin: What are some things you want to do in your life besides hockey? Chad: I like to be a doctor. Kevin: Finish this sentence: The fans would be surprised to know that I ... Chad: That I snow board. Kevin: What is your favorite hockey memory? Chad: Probably winning the Max Championship tournament. Kevin: What can't you imagine living without? Chad: Television. Chad: Probably at that the World Tournament again called the Max, there was about 11,000 fans there and I must of had a piece of tape on my skate, when I skated out, I tripped and fell.
